The Sitka Maritime Heritage Society is offering a class, Sitka History for Tour Guides, 1:00-4:30 pm Saturday April 26th at Harrigan Centennial Hall.
The class, taught by Rebecca Poulson, will give an overview of the contours of Sitka's history, with a focus on the late 1700s to the late 1800s, and will include slides and artifacts. It is intended not only for professional tour guides but for anyone interested in knowing more about Sitka's history. It will include a handout of milestone events in our history. All proceeds go to the Sitka Maritime Heritage Society.
