Full Construction Documents by NorthWind Architects

In 2010 the SMHS had complete design documents completed by NorthWind Architects of Juneau for a historic rehabilitation of the Japonski Island Boathouse.
This plan was funded by the federal National Scenic Byways program - the Alaska Marine Highway is a National Scenic Byway.
The plan is to federal Historic Preservation standards, the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, under the Standards for Rehabilitation. These plans were approved by Alaska's State Historic Preservation Office.
We have made minor changes that include a ramp on the east side.
